External reporting offices
The EU Whistleblower Protection Act grants individuals who intend to report misconduct the right to choose whether to contact an internal reporting office within the company or an external reporting office at the federal or state level.
However, the EU Whistleblower Protection Act also stipulates that reports to an internal office should be given preference if they can be used to take effective action against the violation and whistleblowers do not have to fear reprisals (Section 7 (1) HinSchG).
We follow up on all relevant reports received through our internal reporting office and are expressly committed to protecting all whistleblowers from reprisals.
External federal reporting offices are currently set up
at the Federal Office of Justice
at the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, and
at the Federal Cartel Office.
